Senior MTS SDR (Software Defined Radio) Application
Engineer

Looking for self-motivated, team oriented engineer to lead the
development effort for multimedia algorithm implementation for
a leading edge programmable hardware platform.
Qualifications:
-Very good communication skills and ability to work with remote
teams
- Strong specification and documentation skills
- Ability to translate standards into product requirement
- Understanding of radio implementation process from concept to deployment
- Ability to convert customer requirements into high level system level design
- Understanding of HW as well as SW architecture
- Ability to provide technical direction to other Engineers
- Knowledge of CDMA, WCDMA, GSM/GPRS, OFDMA, and other wireless formats and radio
architectures
- Experience with wireless networks and protocols
- Strong knowledge in 802.16e PHY and MAC
- Strong knowledge in LTE, ISDBT/other, timing and fundamental telecommunication
synchronization concepts
- Experience with DSP & FPGA design, digital circuit design and development
- Experience with processor real time performance evaluation and optimization
- Knowledge of simulation tools including the CoWare SPD, MATLAB and Simulink
- Knowledge of industry standard techniques for time and frequency transfer such
as Two Way Time Transfer, IEEE1588, NTP, or similar knowledge of typical TDD/FDD
transceiver architectures
- OFDMA or CDMA background required
- Knowledge of CAD and DSP design tools is required. Hands on experience with
CoWare SPD, Matlab, or FPGA design/DSP assembly code is preferred
- Experience with SDR algorithms (Rake, FEC, Viterbi, Turbo Codec, Symbol processiNG
- Experience at the algorithm implementation level, working ideally with a combination
of Digital Communications, Modulation, and/or Channel modeling ( channel emulator,
Fading Models ), and domain expertise in WiMax, DVB, and HD Radio desired
Requirements:
Minimally requires BSEE/CS combined with 5 to 10+ yrs related
